Vintage Sack-Style Leather Tote Bag | COCOL
The sacks were reusable wool or linen bags used to carry wheat to the mill or to collect ground flour. Ours were made on low-warp looms in Zamora, perhaps 75 or 50 years ago.
At Cocol we give them a new life respecting their history and looking for the details that make them unique, such as mending, patching, embroidery with the initials of their former owners or seams and reinforcements.
Each bag has been handmade in a traditional sewing workshop in Madrid and no two are alike.
It is a unique COCOL product that we especially value for the story that each one of them tells us and for the value of reusing these beautiful and special antique fabrics.
