These unique pieces are the almost magical result of firing in a historic Arab kiln and the mastery of its potters in Úbeda (Jaén).

Getting an Arab kiln up and running requires extraordinary prior work by artisans who, with their hands, effort and dedication, mould, glaze and decorate hundreds of pieces, pitchers, basins, platters... even statues! These will remain in the Arab kiln for more than 30 hours, under the heat fuelled by orujo (crushed olive pits) until reaching a temperature of 1000º, and always under the watchful eye of potters who are knowledgeable about the techniques used for centuries and which continue to be passed down from generation to generation.

As the kiln cools, unique and unrepeatable objects begin to appear, with nuanced glazes and the strength of clay baked over time, created by the hands and techniques of artisans and the alchemy that occurs inside the Arab kiln.
